The Earl’s Descent
This is a haunting addition to the Last Sip Roasters collection. It captures the atmosphere of a Victorian London afternoon—where the mist clings to the cobblestones and the tea is the only thing warmer than the secrets kept behind heavy manor doors.
“One rainy afternoon, six sat down for one final cup. But only one.... walked away.”
The year is 1888.
While the Ripper haunts the East End, a different kind of darkness takes root in a prestigious manor overlooking a fog-drenched square.
The Earl, a man of impeccable standing and crumbling sanity, calls his family to the drawing room for their customary afternoon London Fog Tea.
The rain lashes against the glass, blurring the world outside into a grey smudge.
Inside, the Earl meticulously prepares the tea himself—a rare gesture. He adds the vanilla, the steamed milk, and a "special" infusion brought back from his travels.
"The Earl had four children. He served his wife then, them in order of age: The Heir, The Beauty, The Scholar, and The Babe.
As the family sips the creamy, lavender-scented brew, the Earl begins to recount the sins of their lineage. By the time the bottom of the cups are reached, the house has fallen into a permanent, icy silence.
When the constables arrive, they find the Earl sitting perfectly still, staring into the fog, holding a cold saucer.

This isn't your grandmother’s tea; it’s a high-octane obsession. It’s for the nights when the "Rainy Day" turns into an all-night investigation into the vault.

The heart of this brew lies in the tension between the bright, citrusy "high notes" and the deep, creamy "low notes." It’s designed to mimic the atmosphere of a Victorian drawing room—sophisticated on the surface, but heavy with hidden weight.
tHE cHALLENGE:
The official constabulary report from 1888 stated they found the Earl "sitting perfectly still, staring into the fog." But the Vault File tells a much more disturbing story.
The "Body" in the Chair When the lead inspector finally touched the man in the drawing room, he didn't find a living soul—or even a fresh corpse. He found a wax effigy, meticulously dressed in the Earl’s finest silk robe, holding a lukewarm saucer. The Earl—the man we are now hunting as The Count—was already gone.
