Signature Premium
Dark Crime Roast
On the rainy afternoon of November 24, 1971, a man calling himself Dan Cooper used cash to buy a one-way ticket on Northwest Orient Airlines Flight 305 from Portland to Seattle. He was described as a mid-40s male in a dark suit, white shirt, and black clip-on tie.
Shortly after takeoff, he handed a note to the flight attendant. It didn't ask for her number; it stated he had a bomb in his briefcase. He opened the bag just enough for her to see a mass of wires and red sticks.
He demanded:
-
$200,000 in "negotiable American currency" ($20 bills).
-
Four parachutes (two primary, two reserve).
-
A fuel truck standing by in Seattle to refuel the plane upon arrival.
.
Somewhere over the rugged wilderness of the Pacific Northwest, amidst a freezing rainstorm, Cooper lowered the aft airstairs and vanished into the night. He was never seen again.

Coffee of the Month
CRIMES OF PASSION DUBAI ROAST
The Case Story
This isn't a simple robbery; it’s a story of obsessive love and ultimate betrayal. The "Saffron Queen" was a woman who didn't just steal; she dismantled the life of a billionaire suitor from the inside out.
The "Saffron" represents the most expensive spice in the world—a symbol of the luxury she was surrounded by—while the "Honey" represents the sweet trap she set for her victim.
-
The Saffron Queen is believed to be the same girl who "vanished" in 1980 in Sharjah. She didn't just disappear; she was erased. The passion in this crime comes from the man who helped her vanish so she could escape an arranged marriage, only for her to return decades later to take everything he owned.
A 1980 construction site photo where her shoes were left in the sand, perfectly preserved.
A handwritten note found at the crime scene in Dubai that simply said: "The price of saffron is blood."
This is still a cold case.
Help us solve the crime and find the Saffron Queen.

MINT TO KILL ROAST
The Case Story
The early hours of March 18, 1990, in Boston, Massachusetts. The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum heist remains the largest unsolved art theft in world history, a $500 million cold case that has baffled investigators for over three decades.
The thieves spent 81 minutes inside—an eternity for a professional heist—and were surprisingly selective yet strangely reckless, cutting masterpieces directly from their frames.

MAY
Coffee of the Month
CINNFUL COFFEE ROAST
For May we have a cold case that is far more "Cinnful" than you can imagine : The West Mesa Murders (also known as the 118th Street Serial Killer).
The "sin" here is the absolute silence. Between 2001 and 2005, women began vanishing from the streets of Albuquerque. Because many of them led troubled lives, their disappearances were often overlooked by the system—a "sinful" neglect that allowed a serial killer to operate in plain sight for years.
The link to your roast is Cinnamon Elks, one of the 11 women found buried in the desert. Her name is the heart of this May archive.
