On a lonely stretch of the Kansas prairie, the Bender family ran a small inn and general store. Travelers would stop for a hot meal and a place to rest, but many were never seen again. When a search party finally raided the property, they found a cellar filled with blood and a garden of shallow graves—but the Benders were gone.
They didn't just flee; they evaporated into the prairie heat, leaving behind a mystery that has haunted the American West for over 150 years.
Where did they go?
And who was the "Professor" leading them?
